Approval of Land Purchase for Mercy Hospital Project

 At its meeting on February 6, the House of Delegates (HOD) approved the AUSA budget for the purchase of a parcel of land at Ogbu for the development of the Mercy Hospital Project.

This decision marks an important milestone for the community. After careful consideration, the previously proposed Nsukwu parcel was set aside due to ongoing litigation and disputes surrounding the property. The newly approved site at Ogbu provides a clearer path forward for the project.

The approval represents great news and a significant achievement for AUSA and the Abatete community, bringing the vision of establishing the Mercy Hospital one step closer to reality.
